As we all know, Mexico is a country that is full of the most colorful traditions with a lot of amazing places and landscapes that make perfect scenarios to celebrate a beautiful wedding.
Mexico has become a favorite destination for people all around the globe to celebrate their weddings, and we don't blame them, as we know this is because destination weddings in our country are always the most beautiful ones. 

If you've ever thought about having a destination wedding, in this post we show you 10 wonderful options to consider to have your wedding at. It doesn't matter if you decide to elope or bring all your family and friends with you, celebrating a wedding aboard it's an unforgettable experience that you won't regret. 


1. Mérida, Yucatán.

Its beautiful and full of history haciendas will take your breath away and are for sure the perfect venue to celebrate your wedding and the ideal place to host all your guests aswell. Yucatán is well know for being the safest mexican State, so you will be allow to party around the streets without having to worry about anything else. 

The "White City" as is well known, not only has one of the most amazings architectures, it's also known for its stunning natural scenarios. Cenotes and underground rivers full of crystaline water make Mérida one of the most magical destinations in Mexico and the entire world. 


Merida counts with easy tranportation access from Cancún and it only takes a 3 hour roadtrip to get there, you can rent a car through Xootrip or take a bus trip with one of the different companies as ADO in a very affordable price. 

2. Tulum, Quintana Roo.

Not only it's one of the most amazing destinations to go for vacations, its stunning landscapes sorrounded with turquoise waters are for sure the perfect scenarios to celebrate your beach wedding.

This little paradise full of tranquility and exclusivity is ideal to celebrate a private wedding in any of its resorts or boutique hotels. A perfect destination to have an eco friendly wedding or even a small celebration at the seashore.

If you want to stay far away from the bustle and be totally surrounded by Tulum's magic, a 5 hour road trip from Cancún will take you to Sian Ka'an Village, a village that is located inside of Sian Ka'an biosphere, which is declared as an UNESCO World Heritage site. Well known for its colonial style architecture, Oaxaca is a city full of history and culture around every corner. Its beautiful hotels and haciendas with big gardens are among the most popular places to celebrate your wedding.  

Oaxaca's Cathedral is one of the most emblematics in our country and it's a beautiful scenario in which any couple would love to declare their love at. But if you're not a religious couple, then you'd rather choose to have a typical Oaxaca's style ceremony in which a chamán will make a ritual to celebrate your love. Another iconic element in Oaxaca's weddings are the Monos de Calenda, those enormous dancing paper puppets that will turn your party on. 

Oaxaca also has a lot of atractions that your guests will totally enjoy, as the archaelogical zone of Monte Albán, tha natural spring waters of Hierve el Agua, the Ethnobotanist Garden of Oaxaca, the Benito Juárez Market and lots of other places full of history, as the Museum of the Cultures or the Prehispanic Art Museum Rufino Tamayo.


4. Valle de Guadalupe, Ensenada B.C.

Located in Ensenada city in Baja California, Valle de Guadalupe it's a place that it's actually getting trendier as a touristic and a wedding destination. The Pacific Ocean combined with the vineyards of the most important wine houses of Mexico make of Guadalupe Valley one of the most majestic scenarios in our country.

Valle de Guadalupe is internationally recognized for having the best wines and one of the most distinctive gastronomic scenes that is well known as one of the best of the whole country. Let's be honest! Who wouldn't want to get married in between vineyards and mountains? You can make it possible here in places as Bruma, Cuatro Cuatros and Rancho L-86. 

Hot air balloon rides, glamping, staying in luxurious boutique hotels, vineyards tours and wine and beer tastings are only a few options of all the amazing things that you can enjoy around this wonderful area. 5. San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.

Named the best city in the World in 2013 and afterly recognized as an Unesco World Heritage site, San Miguel de Allende it's one of the best destinations to celebrate any wedding. Its beautiful and full of history alleys, colors and colonial style architecture will fill with magic your special day.

This city it's one of the most populars destinations for weddings and because ot this it has an area full of experts and profesionals in the wedding sector that will make the wedding you've always dreamed about a complete reality.  

The San Miguel Arcángel parish is one of the most photographed churches in Mexico, its majestic architecture will leave you breathless and it's for sure the host of the most spectacular weddings. Artisan's markets, the traditional "callejoneadas", the publish library and the San Miguel Allende gardens are definitely a must when visiting the heart of the city.


6. Sayulita, Nayarit.

A very popular destination for more relaxed weddings and staying away for the stress that making a big fat wedding takes. This city is full of professionals that will perfeclty organize your big day and making it a very pleasurable experience, they'll make the hard work while you enjoy your stay in such a wonderful place.

Sayulita counts with world class restaurants, stores and resorts that will help your guests to have the best time of their lives.  Its boutique hotels are very remarkable and are a great option to host your wedding. 

Just an hour away from Puerto Vallarta, this place has the most amazing scenarios to explore while you stay there. And if this isn't enough, Sayulita has others paradisiac destinations right around the corner that you won't want to stop visiting, just as Punta Mita, Marieta Islands and Yelapa.


7. Campeche, Campeche.

One of the most beautiful cities of the country with a baroque colonial architecture. Campeche has 17 archaelogical sites, among the most popular ones are Edzná and Calakmul, the biggest mayan city that has ever been discovered. Besides all of this there's also its amazig natural lanscapes, where you can find cenotes in which you can swim and kayac surrounded of a totally natural environment.

Its majestic haciendas are such dreamy places in which you won't hesitate to get married in. Hacienda Uayamón and the Puerta Campeche Hotel Hacienda are a few examples of the magic places with luxurious amenities that this destinatios offers to you and all your guests. 

 


8. Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico.

Only an hour and a half from Mexico City, Valle de Bravo it's an excelent destination to get away of the city bustle for a little while and take a breath of fresh air surrounded of beautiful green landscapes.

Its perfect weather it's ideal for having an intimate Al Fresco wedding in a cottage. A perfect destination to enjoy the nature with amazing landscapes as the Velo de Novia waterfall and its beautiful lake in which you can practice kayak and parasailing.

Valle de Bravo is definitely a place where you can enjoy extreme sports activities as rappel or excursion, but also where you can chill and have a very relaxed time while being surrounded of the most luxurious amenities. 


9. Todos Santos, Southen Baja California.

An hour roadtrip from Cabo will take you to the magic town of Todos Santos, a place where is getting more common to get married in and where couples usually take surf classes days before their wedding day.

A destination with the best and trendier places to stay. As La Bohemia, a colection of 6 adobe rooms painted in white and surrounded of a palm trees an cacti oasis that is located a few blocks away of downtown. And Pachamama, a boutique hotel that appears to be a teepee camp, which is ideal for those couples with bohemian souls that love to practice yoga. 


10. Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca.

A famous place famous for its waves, it is a town full of all the colorful culture of Oaxaca surrounded of 7 amazing beaches. It's a very quite place where you can forget about all the bustle of the most touristic places as it is a destination made for relaxing. 

In Puerto Escondido you can have a very relaxed wedding as you've always imagined it, full of perfect venues to celebrate and host all of your guests. Maybe you could like Villa Carrizalillo, a place with 12 separate villas in which you can have all the privacy you need. Or if you would like to scape to a place full of peace then Hotel Escondido is your best option.

If you want to take the best advantage of staying here, you can take a horse ride, go whale watching, fishing or even diving, taking a trip to the street markets or visitng an art gallery.
