Soy Lizzet Ortiz, fotógrafa de bodas destino basada en Ciudad de México, y durante cinco años en Oaxaca encontré una forma de contar historias desde la observación, la calma y la sensibilidad.

Antes de dedicarme a las bodas, caminaba con mi cámara buscando la luz. Hoy sigo trabajando de la misma manera. Me gusta permanecer cerca, pero sin intervenir, dejando que los momentos sucedan con naturalidad para capturarlos tal como se sienten: honestos, íntimos y llenos de emoción. Sin poses forzadas, sin prisa, sin quitarle verdad a lo que está pasando.

Como fotógrafa de bodas destino en Oaxaca, San Miguel de Allende y CDMX, mi enfoque está en crear imágenes atemporales que permitan a cada pareja volver a su día desde la emoción real, la atmósfera y la sensibilidad con la que fue vivido. Me interesa documentar no solo a la pareja, sino también la luz, los silencios, los gestos y todos esos detalles que terminan dando profundidad a una historia.

Mi intención siempre es la misma: crear fotografías que conserven la esencia de cada celebración y que, con el paso del tiempo, sigan sintiéndose vivas, honestas y profundamente personales.

I’m Lizzet Ortiz, a destination wedding photographer based in Mexico City, and during five years in Oaxaca I found a way of telling stories through observation, calm, and sensitivity.

Before weddings, I used to walk with my camera looking for light. I still work in much the same way. I like to stay close without interfering, allowing moments to unfold naturally so I can capture them as they truly feel: honest, intimate, and full of emotion. No forced poses, no rush, and nothing that takes away from the truth of what is happening.

As a destination wedding photographer in Oaxaca, San Miguel de Allende, and Mexico City, my approach is centered on creating timeless imagery that allows each couple to return to their day through real emotion, atmosphere, and feeling. I’m interested in documenting not only the couple, but also the light, the silences, the gestures, and all those details that give a story its depth.

My intention is always the same: to create photographs that preserve the essence of each celebration and, over time, continue to feel alive, honest, and deeply personal.
